At Emerge, we define trauma broadly: it encompasses experiences of emotional, physical, or relational harm that overwhelm an individual’s ability to cope. For many women, trauma may arise from abuse, neglect, violence, accidents, or loss. Trauma is not limited to extreme events; even subtle, ongoing experiences can disrupt well-being and interfere with daily life.

Symptoms can show up as anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, and difficulties forming or maintaining relationships.
